Black Picket Fence is a portrait of the bleak realities of life in the public housing projects of Brooklyn’s East New York, one of the city’s most dangerous and violent neighborhoods. Culled from two years of filming, the film explores the lives of Tiz Milliner and his best friend Mel, who are ambitious to make it out of the ‘hood by very different means.
